I haven’t been posting very often. In fact, I’ve been working very hard on nano and all the bits and pieces that keep it together. The journal is growing and I hope that within a year I will be working on it in a completely different capacity.

Please check the new issue out. The writing is everything that fall should be and the photos inside are beautiful (as are the photographers who lent them to us).

the professor next door.

I can smell the man who is kissing his girl friend not far from me. This girl is young. I think, maybe, she is his student. Earlier when I sat down, she spoke of dieing her hair by herself. She told him how the boxes that come in stores have special conditioners and are better than if you went to the salon. I think she is younger than me and I can smell his cologne. She is trying to make plans with him for new years but I know he has children. I know he will be here with his kids. He avoids this and now she is saying something about Boston Market. Boston Market has terrible food. He has an accent and she is thin.

I grew up in the churches and temples of my neighbors

Summer is over.

I wish more of my pants had elastic in them. My family interacts through text messages.
