It is the day before thanksgiving and I spent most of it at home cleaning and preparing for the guests tomorrow. This is the first year in a long time that we are having the holiday at my house and we are expecting a large group of people.
Tomorrow morning I have to go pick up my grandmother. She doesn't like to drive by herself now. I feel like that will mark the day with a blanket of obligation. Social obligation where you drive under 40mph for granny and you don't get too drunk during dinner. Liz and i will go dancing afterwards. It will make me feel a little better. Or a little worse.
Anyway, the inspiration to this blog, came several minutes ago when I was feeling particularly lonely, and I thought of the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young song, "love the one you're with". It isn't the most consoling song because well, I'm alone eating Chinese food while watching The Simpsons. I decided to download it, because that's what you do when a song gets stuck in your head, you listen to it even more. and the lyrics are horrible. Loving the one your with means, making due with the uggo next to you (or the lo mien on your plate.) I guess that was what free love was about. But i digress... mmm this Chinese food is good.

Bea Arthur Naked
Read Elliot and look at Bea Arthur's round hangy breasts.
From Elliot's "Gerontio":
To lose beauty in terror, terror in inquisition.
I have lost my passion: why should I need to keep it
Since what is kept must be adulterated?
I have lost my sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch:
How should I use them for your closer contact?
